Tonbridge Civic Society Photo Competition 2023
Terms & Conditions
Eligibility: The competition is open to amateur and professional photographers who are residents of Tonbridge or the surrounding areas.
Entry requirements: Each entrant may submit up to three original photographs that are relevant to the categories of Tonbridge life ‘Before 1960’; ‘After 1960’ and ‘Celebrating Tonbridge’. All entries must be submitted digitally, and should be in JPEG format with a resolution of at least 300dpi. The photos should be recent, ideally within the last 12 months, and this will be factored into the judging process.
Copyright: By submitting an entry, the entrant certifies that the photograph is their original work and does not infringe upon the copyrights, trademarks, moral rights, rights of privacy or publicity or any other intellectual property rights of any person or entity. The entrant retains all copyright to their photographs.
Ownership: The photographs submitted remain the property of the entrant, but by entering the competition, the entrant grants Tonbridge Civic Society a non-exclusive, irrevocable license to reproduce, publish, and display the submitted photographs in any media or format, including on the Society's website, social media accounts, and promotional materials.
Judging: The winning photographs will be selected by a panel of judges chosen by Tonbridge Civic Society. The judges' decision will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
Prizes: Entries are free. The winner of each category will receive a framed copy of their picture. There will be no cash substitute.
Notification: The winner will be notified by email or phone within 14 days of the closing date of the competition.
Promotion: Tonbridge Civic Society reserves the right to use the winner's name, city, and winning photograph in any publicity or advertising relating to the competition.
Liability: Tonbridge Civic Society and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates are not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged entries, nor for any computer or electronic malfunction, human error, or other technical problems that may occur during the submission process.
Acceptance of Terms and Conditions: By entering the competition, the entrant agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions.
