Twin towns

Tonbridge is twinned with Puy-en-Velay, Haute-Loire, France and Heusenstamm, Hesse, Germany

TCS encourages better links and exchanges between Tonbridge’s and its twin towns and endeavours to establish links with other similarly sized towns in Europe and further afield via engaging with people living in Tonbridge that were born overseas (and vice versa).

Puy-en-Velay, Haute-Loire, France.

Le Puy-en-Velay is located near the river Loire, the city is famous for its cathedral, for its lace-making and being the origin of the Chemin du Puy, one of the principal origin points of the pilgrimage route Santiago de Compostela in France. In 2017, the commune had a population of 18,995.

Heusenstamm, Hesse, Germany.

Since 1984 our town has been twinned with Heusenstamm a town of over 18,000 people in the Offenbach district in the Regierungsbezirk of Darmstadt in Hesse, Germany.
